The Gold Coast would have to be one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia if not the world. A Gold Coast holiday maker can expect to find an activity or event to suit almost any interest and budget as it has been designed with the tourist in mind.

There are mix and match Gold Coast Holiday Packages where you can choose from various accommodation styles, flights and car rental options. These holiday packages will suit backpackers to business travellers to families.

Gold Coast Holiday Packages

Most holidaymakers want to visit at least one theme park and the gorgeous Gold Coast beaches. We will review each of the theme parks to help you make a more informed decision.

Another huge draw-card for this coastal strip is the shopping. I don't like to stereotype, but, most ladies love to shop. Whether you need a need a new handbag, another pair of shoes or an outfit for a night on the town you are bound to find a swag of options. Even if you want to escape from the kids for a couple of hours whilst you pamper yourself with a new hairstyle or set of nails there are beauty salons galore.

The Gold Coast boasts one of the highest concentrations of golf courses per head of population in the world. If you are a weekend hacker or a seasoned pro you can keep your skills in tune on one of the numerous golf courses, and if you think that you are up to the challenge of playing on all of them I want to hear about it.

There really are no excuses why a tourist cannot spend some time on the Gold Coast. There are dozens of Gold Coast accommodation options from budget backpacker to Eco cabins and caravan parks moving through to high rise apartments, holiday units and multi-million dollar mansions. So there is an accommodation style to suit every budget and taste.

Speaking of taste you are likely to experience some great dining during your Gold Coast holiday. There are flavours from all round the globe but probably our favourite is the seafood buffets. All the well known take away outlets are in Surfers Paradise and surrounding suburbs. Names such as McDonalds, Hungry Jacks (a.k.a. Burger King), Pizza Hut, Dominos and K.F.C. are just a few of the food oulets on the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast plays host to many major sporting events. Events include Gold Coast 600, Ladies Open Golf, Gold Coast Marathon, Gold Coast Titans Games, and non sporting events like Gold Coast Schoolies, Magic Millions, Gold Coast Show.

Over the last 40 years I have watched the Gold Coast grow from a seaside town to the fifth biggest city in Australia. In fact some of the northern suburbs have been the fastest growing suburbs in Australia for several years now. Whether it is the lifestyle or the weather many people seem to want to call the Gold Coast home. So come and see what the attaction is...
