Gold Coast Weather - 16th June 2010

The past few days have started off fabulous as you can see from the photo but the conditions have quickly deteriorated with strong winds making it cold and unpleasent.

I spotted one brave lady at the top of the Surfers Paradise bungy jumping tower yesterday. As I waited in the traffic she just kept standing there, I am not sure if she was waiting for the wind to die down or if she was just building up courage for the jump.

One group of people who have been enjoying the windy conditions is the kite surfers and windsurfers. Runaway Bay and Surfers Paradise are two popular locations for this activity.

There is very little temperature variation today due to some cloud cover, the minimum is 14 degrees celcius with an expected maximum of 18^oC.
